There seem to be xorg sdk rpms out there for a variety of linux distros but nothing FreeBSD specific. Is this something I can obtain from ports?
You just install the x11/xorg-libraries port. You will need to add the location of these header files (-I/usr/X11R6/include) and libraries (-L/usr/X11R6/lib) when building.
