Grrr.... reply to self... :) Never mind above email. My Metacity is compiled without a compositor manager, but after discovering and installing gcompmgr, the translucency does work. What exactly then is the benefit compiling Metacity with --enable-composite?? Thanks, Frank -- It is said that the Internet is a public utility. As such, it is best compared to a sewer.
