The mmv update from 1.01b to 1.01b.14 that just got committed changes the "to" wildcard index character from '=' to '#'. The Debian sources the new version is based on is derived from the DOS version of mmv (which uses '#') where the original FreeBSD port referenced the Unix mmv (which uses '=').
I posted a bugreport about this to the Debian bugtracker, but they closed it saying "it's always been '#' for us". Similarly, I think FreeBSD should keep using '=', since it's always been that way for _us_ and will break too many preexisting scripts. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=267138 -- Dan Nelson [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ freebsd-ports@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
