--- Comment #2 from Eric Joyner <e...@freebsd.org> --- I'm not an expert on locking issues, but it appears that lagg_register_vlan() enters an epoch (via the now-confusingly named LAGG_RLOCK() macro) that iflib_vlan_register() is run inside of, and the msec_delay()->safe_pause_ms()->pause() in the em driver is causing the "sleeping in an epoch section" panic.
