You can check Intel's spec on their website for the chip you use. They have very good documentation. IIRC, the default behavior is to round-robin TX queue on packet boundary (after TSO segementation). Don't know about Linux driver's state, but you have the detailed document, you can always change the code as you like for your own stuffs.
