Just one thing that's important to understand: order in rc.conf is only important in one regard, that the _last_ assignment for any particular variable is the only one that matters. rc.conf is just an sh script, included by '.', and any later assignments override any earlier ones. In particular, the order of assignments to any _different_ variables in rc.conf is completely irrelevant.
