rebuilding/reinstalling /usr/src/usr.sbin/wpa should get you going.

I had suspected it, but everything I had seen on the subject was 2006 (FBSD7?), so I wasn't sure if it was a policy still or not.

Looks like the fix will be relatively easy then... :/
