there is nothing mentioned about the network-interface neither in dmesg nor

in my kernelconfig there are the entries:
device em

with the old kernel everything works.
i actually had somewhat similar problem only with onboard bge nics on
older tyan motherboards. when i upgraded from 7.x to current (amd64
arch) both onboard bge nics disappeared. i had to go to the bios
screen and set "installed os" (or something like that) to "linux".
other choices were "windows" and "other" (default).
thanks,

The problem is: it is a rented Strato-Server. So I have no access to the
bios.
The box is used to be a new Tinderbox for miwi so he needs a running
fbsd-current. we would realy appreciate a fix and will test it, of course.
