Did you tried another port on a switch?
   

Yes, I tried several. No change. All other ports of switch
carry 100Mbit links fine.
 

Try to plug it to another hardware, other switch or other computer to be 
sure.
I think this hardware problem, not software one. And I hope you have a 
warranty.
