Expire value

Hi, 

By doing a netstat -nr I can see that:

Destination        Gateway      Flags      Netif Expire

x.x.x.x      0:50:73:28:70:40   UHLW       fxp0    914
----

I  my case when the Expire value reach 0, it does not restart as it
should.

I would like to know what could stop the timer to restart?
