My attitude would be: keep the spaces out of directory names - at least where educated person: system administrator makes the decision, such as mount points. Not everything that other systems have has to be accepted for FreeBSD. Such as spaces in paths MS Widows system is infested with due to dumb decision by system vendor promoting usernames "Firstname Lastname" like. Just my humble opinion.
