Are there actually systems out there that don't have "all-zero" NULL pointers?
You have officially shattered my previously held beliefs about the sacredness of memset :(
If there are, I'd be interested to know of them.
Like zero'ing out bss, the definition of NULL as 0 is left as implementation specific.
Try to change it, however, and see what nightmare ensues.
People who argue conventions that have been around for 25 years aren't "standard" and should be "avoided" need therapy.
