Greetings,

happened earlier: I asked if somebody could port Yepp Explorer (it's for
MP3-players by Yepp) for FreeBSD
(there is one for Linux) as my skills aren't enough.
However, I decided to try it out. I managed to do it this far:

http://www.cc.jyu.fi/~kaeesalm/yepp-0.0.4-FreeBSD.tar.gz

I can compile and run it, clicking Connect-button (which should connect
via
parallel port) crashes the program leaving a core dump.
Here's last ten lines of that dump:

  2401 yepp RET gettimeofday 0
  2401 yepp CALL ioctl(0x3,FIONREAD,0xbfbff25c)
  2401 yepp RET ioctl 0
  2401 yepp CALL read(0x3,0xbfbff260,0x20)
2401 yepp GIO fd 3 read 32 bytes

"\^E\^A\M-Q\^D\M^D\M-`\^[\M-t:\0\0\0\^U\0\M^@\^A\0\0\0\0<\0\M-1\0+\0\^N\
        \0\0\^A\^A\b"
  2401 yepp RET read 32/0x20
  2401 yepp PSIG SIGBUS SIG_DFL
  2401 yepp NAMI "yepp.core"

Some kind of bus error.
