Dear FreeBSD friends, In an email before I reported about a problem with the SiS 900 ethernetcard:

On that I received two different patches, which could solve the problem. I have attached them to this email: sis.diff from Luoqi Chen and if_sis.patch from Jeff Seeman. if_sis.patch didn't do the job. The message during boot didn't change and moreover I was not able to use the ethernet device. sis.diff did a better a job, but it solved the problem partly. Still the system is not able to retrieve the MAC address from the ethernetcard. Of course I could assign a MAC address manually and work around the problem (ifconfig sis0 lladdr xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx), but still it would be nice to have a driver which does a proper job.
