This is rather simplistic logic. Firstly, it could be a hardware problem which Microsoft doesn't tickle. It could be any of a number of things. From this viewpoint, I'd say that the problem is you: you don't even say what happens. We can't debug like that. FWIW, I am running dual-headed X on an Athlon 1700+ based system. I've had no problems with X at all.
