OK - I've now tried adding hw.pcic.inter_path="1" to /boot/loader.conf. This did change the behaviour. If I have the card inserted at boot time - the machine hangs at boot. If I don't have the card inserted - the machine will boot. As soon as I insert the card, the machine hangs solidly. Removing the card does not "free" up the machine. Note that this is different from before... before (without hw.pcic.inter_path="1") I could insert the card, which would lock down the machine - then remove the card which would free it up... With hc.pcic.inter_path="1" - all I get is a lock-down. - Dave Rivers - -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Work: (919) 676-0847 Get your mainframe programming tools at http://www.dignus.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
