Folks,

I very interesting project just landed in my lap -- I need to setup a
FreeBSD server to be a streaming media server for 1000+ clients using
Nullsoft's Shoutcast.

I have some experience with streaming media, so I know how to size the
network side of the equation, but what I'm really at a loss for is how much
processing power a server will need to do this effectively, and better yet,
how to properly tune the FreeBSD machine to handle that many simultaneous
clients.

If anyone has any experience with this sort of thing, or has any advice,
please contact me directly.

Thanks,
