tcpdump

Hi,   I am trying to make tcpdump work across 2 machines, ie trying to monitor a machine's IP packets from another machine. Just typing 'tcpdump host ip2' from the first m/c, say ip1, is not working. However, typing 'tcpdump host ip2' on ip2 works fine. Do I have to configure BSD packet filter to make this work ? I am working on 4.3.   Thanks, Anjali
