PCMCIA Network Adapter problems

Dear Sir,   I just started using Free-BSD, and am having some problems making it see my network adapter on my laptop.  It sees the controller fine, just not the card itself.  The card I am attempting to use is a 3Com Megahertz 10/100Mb Lan + 56K modem card, model number 3CCFEM656B.  Any help at all would be greatly appriciated, and I appologize for the inconvenience.        Sincerly,   Jason
