Umm, what do you mean? You can cross-build world and kernel with TARGET=amd64 (this is what the tinderbox and 'make universe' do), then install the kernel, reboot into single-user mode, and install world. Some things won't work properly until you've built and installed world a second time, but nothing important AFAIK. You may have to copy /libexec/ld-elf.so.1 to /libexec/ld-elf32.so.1 before you reboot - it used to be necessary, but ISTR someone hacked around it to make it easier to run 32-bit chroots on amd64.
