Sorry for his rudeness.
fwiw.. I never said free anywhere in my email.. It's assumed testing
has a reciprocal benefit assuming we fix bugs. I've spoken with 5-10
people in the BSD community and most are supportive of our idea..
They of course wanted the BSD license from the start, but to me this
is a conservative approach which I saw as a win/win.. So honestly am
I on crack?

I don't think any of us really know what your product is. I certainly
never knew about it.
Apologies.. I didn't really expect anyone to know about it. To me the
best way to describe it is similar to gdb, but much cleaner codebase.
In any case, this list is for discussions for people who are actively
working on FreeBSD itself, so perhaps this place isn't the best place
for discussing your company's work.
We're announcing this under a few assumptions
#1 It's going to be relicensed to something BSD community finds
acceptable. .(not GPL anything)
#2 It's going to be ported BSD
#3 It'll end up in ports
#4 We'll take feedback for features like how to implement kernel level
debugging and see if we can help with it
I hope this helps clarify a little..
Thanks
