Hi folks, We have an a.out(5), but no elf(5) (as pointed out in docs/7914).
Does anyone feel up to writing one?

[intentional self-reference] can be easily accommodated using a blessed,
non-self-referential dummy head-node whose own object destructor severs
the links.
