Sorry, Jan, all I know is that Firefox was starting fine for me -- and others -- before patch-bug1550891 landed in files/ 10 days ago, and that it no longer does. And that my change allows it to start again -- without completely undoing the FreeBSD-specific patch. People with CAPSICUM enabled will still benefit from the protection it tries to provide.
