Good news and bad news.  The good news is that it appears to be stable with my 
WinXP Pro VM.  Bad news is that enabling 3D acceleration still causes the VM to 
immediately crash when I try to start it.  

Also, the USB pass-through is closer to working.  I have a couple of USB 
devices now that show up in the control panel, but they still don't appear in 
the Devices menu of the VM, nor does the VM have an inkling of their existence.
