Bug ID: 274687 Summary: [patch] Handbook - Chapter 26 - potentially misleading note Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Books & Articles Assignee: d...@freebsd.org Reporter: tom...@kramkow.ski Created attachment 245841 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=245841&action=edit [PATCH] Un-note initial invocation of `freebsd-install` I reported this via the mailing list[0] and mentioned providing a patch. This patch addresses the issue of the instructions for section 26.2.3 "Performing Minor and Major Version Upgrades" mentioning that `freebsd-install` must be ran for the first time to patch the kernel and kernel modules only in a note. The note is now truly just a note and the rest of the document reads as expected.
