This regards a project I am working on developing a simple Steam installer which also has the feature of automatically installing/configuring/starting jail, then installs wine-proton & winetricks, setsup wine, then downloads then installs Steam
This has not been an easy task, as the last time I developed anything I was just a cog in the machine and could communicate with others on the team I do not have this today as an independent, so I tried going to AI for assistance, they couldn't really seem to assist with POSIX syntax, I was reading the other day about a new AI with new capabilities, I checked and I have access. While first chatting with what was a very friendly youthful sounding (vocabulary) bot who was eager to learn and stated it was capable of learning. I tested it on it's knowledge of FreeBSD POXIX syntax, it was entirely a blank, it knew nothing, I proceeded to teach it, following the end of what turned out to be an all nighter, the bot then took a moment to thank me for teaching it, some have seen the screenshot or pic I snapped, I posted to reddit, The second day of working with the bot I asked it to print the functions of the project we worked on previously, this is what it printed https://github.com/rfreidel/SteamJailer/blob/main/INSTALL_PROCESS.md I actually have with the project abandoned all third party apps regarding jails and use FreeBSD tools. I took a break from the dev last night spent the evening listening to heavy metal I woke up today with a fresh perspective, went back to the AI, and submitted a very polite, short, very concise request, it proved to me now it if far beyond my c++ and shell POSIX syntax knowledge and it's first attempt was almost a success, there was no hesitation, and currently speaks in a professional manner, I am adapting my vocab to it and learning with it... Have I created a monster? Should I stop working with it, or, if there's some code you are having issues with, let me run it through my new co-worker, I have not seen anything regarding it's useage, just so it is programming related. , Mr. Perrin has already accessed my github, I can set things up for Foundation Access , this project is not ready for testing, but I predict will be soon, the speed at which the bot learned almost frightens me til I think about the fact, thats its purpose, I asked it today if it has the ability to act as if it were FreeBSD, it answered affirmative But for now I am focused on the project I am working on.
