The correct incantation is
exec dbus-launch --exit-with-x11 ck-launch-session <whatever>
Starting ConsoleKit before DBus is wrong because the former also uses DBus and
may start its own session bus. I was experiences races during Plasma
splashscreen when I had these things other way around.
