| I've just installed a fresh 5.0-RELEASE, and i found
| a rather odd surprise:

| the NOTES files (both!!!) vanished!!!!
| Instead of NOTES i found the old LINT in /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/,
| and nothing in /usr/src/sys/conf/.
|
| Any idea?

you cvsupped -stable by mistake ? 5.0-release isn't stable yet.
