Trial upgrade from a laptop running stable just fine for the last six months to current (GENERIC) is still failing with the same symptoms:
On board rl0 comes up just fine, but a transfer hangs after about 150KB or so. After a minute or two, the laptop reboots. That's at 100BaseTX, plus the various mediaopts. At 10BaseT, it takes longer during a file transfer to trigger the problem, but it gets there after a megabyte or so. I've attached a dmesg, interesting "lock order reversal" item in it. I'm willing to dedicate a week or so to get this thing up because it's one of those ACPI only laptops. Tell me what to do to get better info...
