The issue is, ACPI is needed to route interrupts for certain computers
(namely, laptops).  Without it being on, many laptops could not install
the OS.  I personally would prefer it being off by default with a
recommendation to laptop users to enable it during the install in the
install notes.

But before the conversation gets off topic, I want to know where acpi
disabling is documented so I can point people to the doc instead of
answering the same question over and over.
