No, the `c' partition usually indicates the whole FreeBSD slice.

A very, very long time ago (before FreeBSD grew ``slices''), the `d'
partition of the first slice with type 165 was used to describe the
entire disk.  Utilities like `fdisk' and `sysinstall' knew about this
long after it ceased being magic.
