1st thing:
        Make sure you have removed the NO_GEOM option from your
        kernel config, sysinstall/libdisk only works with GEOM
        kernels.

if that is not it:

2nd OK, now we'll get tough :-)

        cd /usr/src/lib/libdisk
        make tst01
        echo quit | /usr/obj/`pwd`/tst01 $DISK

where $DISK is the name of your disks (ie: "ad0", "da0" etc etc)

This will show you what the libdisk library thinks about your disks.

I'd like to see the output, along with the output from:

        sysctl -n kern.geom.conftxt
