Morning all ... I'm finally trying to get my laptop back up and running using -CURRENT ... back on August 16th, I did an upgrade that totally hosed the ability to use my ethernet, and due to the way that I erroneously did the upgrade, I can't go back to the old kernel :(
I've searched the archives, and find others that have had the problem, but haven't found a fix as of yet ... is there something in the kernel sources that I can change to get the kernel to see the ethernet device, so taht I can upgrade my kernel to the latest? A value/flag that needs to be set? As to the old kernel, I did an 'installworld', so when I try and ifconfig the device, I'm getting an etheraddress of 00:00:00:00:00, altho it is detecting a card, so its pretty useless :( Thanks ...
