With the ACPI module loaded I find that ed0, fdc0 and pca0 are no longer detected (well, fdc0 is detected but gives an error). I have the most recent BIOS installed and it doesn't seem to make any difference if I twiddle BIOS settings. Could this have something to do with hints, or where should I be looking for the problem?
