Sorry for the repeat. I was playing with the sendmail 8.11.0 you guys have provided... But anyway, if DEVFS is in my fstab or not it gets mounted under /dev , as you point out. I guess this is the problem because I have to remove "options DEVFS" from my kernel in single user for my system to boot.
