Depending on how you define "correct". Deliveries won't be affected by atime setting in any way; telling if you have new mail _may_ be affected, but it would be at worst annoying (shell / MUA claims you have new mail while you don't, and even that it's only for their startup, once the shell is running it won't rely on atime).
