Can you try updating the kernel to the latest revision and build DRM
firmware+kmods from source. Some regression issues were introduced in
r346645 and were not fixed before r347089, but I cannot see that your
revision lies between those.

Some sanity checking:
Kernel sources are in /usr/src
And latest version DRM module is built from
/usr/ports/graphics/drm-current-kmod ?
Can you check that /boot/modules gets cleaned after you deinstall
drm-current-kmod and gpu-firmware-kmod (both needs to be rebuilt).
