I applied the patch with FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT #0 r317181, installed gnome-vfs
from ports then used pkg to install shutter.
Still, Shutter fails to start:
/usr/local/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libfile.so: Undefined symbol "ih_startup"
At a different machine running CURRENT (TrueOS Desktop) the same routine
resulted in a working installation of Shutter.
I revisited the first machine, deinstalled items, repeated the patching and
installation routine (much the same as, maybe not identical to, the first
attempt), Shutter worked.
I'm glad that it works now :-) but I don't know why the first attempt didn't
have the required effect.
Would it matter that in the first attempt, I ran 'make install' (not 'make
install clean') for gnome-vfs?
