VERY wrong. All you want to do is a normal ``make world'' (or ``make buildworld'') > # cd /usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/cc; make clean; make obj > # make ... > ===> cc ... > /usr/obj/usr/src/gnu/usr.bin/cc/cc/../cc_drv/libcc_drv.a(choose-temp.o): > In function `make_temp_file': > choose-temp.o(.text+0x284): undefined reference to `mkstemps' > *** Error code 1 There are bootstraping issues that are dealt with in ``make world'' that you are not handling in your manually doing it. In this case egcs depends on new libc functionality and you haven't manually built a new libc first. Of course ``make world'' builds the important librarires 1st and then uses those when compiling the commands and other binaries. -- -- David (obr...@nuxi.com -or- obr...@freebsd.org) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majord...@freebsd.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
