Hans,

Have you tried updating to the latest CURRENT?  I had the same issues until
sos checked in a few fixes for the HighPoint stuff.  You have an almost
identical bunch of kit to me.  Basically the stuff was being probed when
the controller didn't expect it, which made it throw up violently.

[Incidently, since then I've had another timeout or two, but it doesn't
kill the machine anymore.  Sos, is there anything I can do to help find
out what's causing this?]
