config tool breaks

Is this a bug, or did I miss something on the list
that changed this procedure:


cd /usr/src/sys/i386/conf)

bash-2.03# config MYMACHINE
config: files.i386: No such file or directory
bash-2.03# exit

The files.* is missing, etc.  No changes after a cvsup.
