Uh huh -- But you've specified a non-zero fsck pass number in the fstab
entry.  Change this:

 > /dev/vinum/initial      /files1         ufs     rw,noauto       2  2

to this:

/dev/vinum/initial      /files1 ufs     rw,noauto       2 0
