Because that would be an incredibly obnoxious (I would even say
asinine) thing to do. If I want to make a reply to the list, I'll
make a reply to the list. If I don't, I won't. Readers of the
FreeBSD mailing-lists are expected to be smart enough to know the
difference between ``reply'' and ``followup'' (or whatever the
relevant commands in their MUA are).
In short, we have had this discussion (at regular intervals) and the
answer is still ``no''.
