As more desktop environments drop X11 support, this feature becomes more
important. Currently there seems to be no display managers that support
launching wayland sessions. Most people seem to be launching their wayland
sessions from the vt console login itself, or using the x11/ly console login
manager.

Currently, there is no way to blank the screen when a graphical session is not
running. I am using x11/ly on my machines, and eventually the login window is
going to burn into my LCD monitor if I can't blank the screen.

This wasn't an issue with SDDM etc, since graphical sessions have no problem
with screen blanking. So we will either need a graphical login manager that
actually supports wayland, or the ability to turn the screen off when no one is
logged in...
