--- Comment #34 from holm <h...@freibergnet.de> --- In the meantime I've got an Qlogic QLE2562 FC Adapter (HP Version) and experimented with my 3588-F5A Ultrium 5 drive. Loading ispfw and isp with kldload and unloading works flawlessly:
none1@pci0:33:0:0: class=0x0c0400 rev=0x02 hdr=0x00 vendor=0x1077 device=0x 2532 subvendor=0x103c subdevice=0x3263 vendor = 'QLogic Corp.' device = 'ISP2532-based 8Gb Fibre Channel to PCI Express HBA' class = serial bus subclass = Fibre Channel none2@pci0:33:0:1: class=0x0c0400 rev=0x02 hdr=0x00 vendor=0x1077 device=0x2532 subvendor=0x103c subdevice=0x3263 vendor = 'QLogic Corp.' device = 'ISP2532-based 8Gb Fibre Channel to PCI Express HBA' class = serial bus subclass = Fibre Channel

isp0: <Qlogic ISP 2532 PCI FC-AL Adapter> port 0xe100-0xe1ff mem 0xf6784000-0xf6787fff,0xf6600000-0xf66fffff irq 32 at device 0.0 on pci3 isp1: <Qlogic ISP 2532 PCI FC-AL Adapter> port 0xe000-0xe0ff mem 0xf6780000-0xf6783fff,0xf6500000-0xf65fffff irq 33 at device 0.1 on pci3
I've tested the drive and it works so far, even ltfs works..but I've got spontanous crashes when I write large amount of data and "some graphics operations" at the same time. Sorry, no panic dump available, I haven't seen one, just a freeze with false colors on the screen or a reboot. I've mailed Joerg Pulz if he want's a free QLE2462 card for debugging purposes, but unfortunately I've got no answer from him until now. OS is FreeBSD trollo.tshtg.lan 13.4-STABLE FreeBSD 13.4-STABLE #15 stable/13-a42c3e6150-dirty: Thu Feb 6 10:45:15 CET 2025 h...@trollo.tshtg.lan:/usr/obj/usr/src/amd64.amd64/sys/TROLLO amd64 The machine has 64GB RAM and an Ryzen 5.
