I can confirm that updating to 03a7c36ddbc0ddb1063d2c8a37c64d83e1519c55, which is passed the commits mentioned in comment #8, on 15-CURRENT has restored use of 'device amdtemp' in kernel configurations, and as a result of that, my AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core Processor again successfully boots again.
