On second thought, try this anyway. FreeBSD sshd hooks into Heimdal regardless of options or PAM. Then add WITOUT_SSHD_GSSAPI=yes to /etc/src.conf and rebuild all of /usr/src/secure/lib/libssh and /usr/src/secure/usr.sbin/sshd. This will rely solely on sssd.
