With the other images I have tested, the system would simply reset after sitting for a while. r348988 Same; blank screen for a while then dim font for kernel. r350956 All black, no visible activity. System doesn't reset (or I didn't wait long enough), but that might be a difference between the UEFI booted CD image and the legacy booted CI disk images.
