I did a fresh FREEBSD 12 BETA 4 install and executed 'pkg'.
The binary was downloaded automatically, but it doesn't work as libssl.so.8 is
not found.
I created a symlinks to libssl.so.8 -> libssl.so and libcrypto.so.8 ->
libcrypto.so manually and found the following issue:
# pkg update
Updating FreeBSD repository catalogue...
pkg: Repository FreeBSD load error: access repo
file(/var/db/pkg/repo-FreeBSD.sqlite) failed: No such file or directory
Fetching meta.txz: 100% 944 B 0.9kB/s 00:01
ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/libpkg.so.4: Undefined symbol
