One more detail: the SM961 support PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes, but the M.2 socket on
the X11SSH-F provides only two lanes.  I have no idea whether this should make
a difference in function or not, but it will limit the theoretical performance
to about 2 GB/s.

With that in mind, my numbers look like its using the available bandwidth
fully.  I guess there appears to be no performance penalty, at least for large,
linear transfers.
